WELCOME TO MARSKE PHOENIX VOLLEYBALL CLUB
If you’re looking for a competitive yet sociable volleyball club in Tees Valley you’ve come to the right place.
Our club has been established for over 40 years. We have multiple teams playing at a range of levels from Volleyball England’s Mens National Cup to Tees Valley Volleyball Division 2. We currently have around 45 members – young and not so young.
We currently train every Monday evening, 18:00 – 19:00 for Juniors and 19:15 – 21:15 for Adults in Saltburn Leisure Centre.

On Friday, we celebrated the successes of our members during the past year with our Award Ceremony.
There were seven different categories this year, which were:
Marske Phoenix Division 1 Champions
Player's Player: Callum
Junior Players of the Year: Zara & George
Most Improved Adult sessions: Kai & Dev
Most Improved Junior sessions: Florence & Nicole
Paul Whitworth Club Dedication Award: Callum
Long Service Recognition: Lez

Congratulations to Marske's Phoenix team for winning the Division 1 league twice last year.
A big congratulations to @cal.atko who was the captain of Marske's Phoenix team. His skill, talent, dedication to the club and overall friendly & welcoming aura saw him end up with three awards. The Champions Shield, Player's Player and the Paul Whitworth Club Dedication Award. Callum will be working overseas for a while but still aims to get to as many training sessions as possible.
We also bestowed Lesley Shepherd with he Long Service Recognition. Having founded the club back in 1982, she has been a driving force for over 40 years. Having been in every committee position, coaching, playing, refereeing, providing community outreach programs and more. Lez has built not just a sports team but a community of friendly and supportive volleyball enthusiast.

It's great to see everyone getting back into the swing of things so quickly.
Tomorrow is the Tess Valley Volleyball Association's AGM. It starts at 6pm and is held at Middlesbrough College's Sports Centre. It's a good meeting to go to for both juniors and adults. And is great if you would like your say on Volleyball matters in the Tees Valley area.
On Friday, it is the Award Ceremony. This is always a fantastic event that celebrates the achievements of our members during the past year.
